IN THIS KIT:
Levers are all around us, though rarely recognised or noticed. A catapult uses a lever system to convert potential/stored (gravity or elastic) energy into kinetic (movement) energy, to throw a projectile as far as possible. This project builds 2 models – a 3rd Class catapult (pre-designed) and a 1st Class catapult – this one you need to design, make and test. There is plenty of room for competition with others, to see whose catapult can throw their “ammo” the furthest.
