Returns & Refunds Overview
While we do our very best to ensure that our kits are not missing anything, our production team handle tens of thousands of small parts every month, and sometimes packing mistakes happen. Our returns and replacements policy is based on communication, excellence and integrity, so that we can resolve any problems quickly and fairly.
Should you find any issues or missing parts with your kit/s, please email info@jefa.co.za within 14 days of receiving your order. The email should be accompanied by a photograph of the kit as received, to enable us to assess the issue and apply the appropriate remedy, i.e., replacement, refund, etc.
If you would like to return your purchase for any other reason, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days. We may need to request your bank details to complete the refund.
Late or missing refunds
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us.
Sale items
Only regular priced items may be refunded. Sale items cannot be refunded.
Exchanges
We only replace items if they are defective, damaged, or if you ordered the wrong kits (it is difficult to remember what Grade you kids are in all the time ;-). If you need to exchange a kit, send us an email at info@curiousDIY.co.za. HELP! We broke something important while building our project 😐
Don’t panic! These things happen. Remember that this is an educational experience and that things don’t always go according to plan. What you learn in these cases is arguably more important than the learning you get from the tech principals that your kit demonstrates or applies.
So please let us know if you have any problems with your build. We are happy to share quick-fixes, alternative parts or supply replacement parts if needed. Obviously, where delivery and replacement parts have a cost involved, we will quote first. Most of the parts we supply are not high value and we play nice.
Shipping returns
If you aren’t happy with your order and choose to return your kits, please respond to the original order confirmation email you received from our system.
You will be responsible for paying for the shipping costs for returning your item/s. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, you may choose to have the cost of return shipping deducted from your refund.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.
